New adult ‘Just Ride’ sessions and children’s Bikeability
The next activity to re-open at Par Track is the Ride sessions.
Launching with the new adult only ‘Just Ride’ sessions.
The sessions have been designed;
- to maintain a 2m distance
- with a maximum of six riders per session
- Riders will also be asked to stay in lane three and overtake in lane six to help keep the session flowing.
The sessions are running weekly every Tuesday at 8.30pm and a Ladies Only session every Wednesday evening from 6.30pm
Par Track will also be welcoming children back to the track with Bikeability sessions.
Which is today’s cycle training programme endorsed by the government. It helps children gain practical skills and understanding of how to cycle on today’s roads.
The session is delivered by qualified instructor, Emma Roberts one of the team at Cycle Training Cornwall.
The Bikeability sessions will start with Level 1 launching on Thursday 9th July, running for three weeks in total.
Bikeability Level 1 prepares children for riding on the road so some cycling experience and basic riding skills are needed for this course. For example, children need to be able to set off, stop confidently & use their brakes. Good cycling balance is important – so no bikes with stabilisers.
We will then roll out the Level 2 Bikeability course which takes children safely on to the roads to learn the next set of Bikeability skills.
