Get ready, get set, go…more facilities to open at the track
We’re pleased to announce that following relaxed Government guidance we are able to open more facilities at Par Track for you all to use.
1) Wooden Play Park area
The play park will be re-opened on Monday 6th July, in keeping with the new government guidelines.
The Government guidelines still advise to maintain social distancing, so we ask if a few children are already in the play park to come back at a different time. Perhaps enjoy the Green Trail around the perimeter of the site instead whilst you wait.
Parents are responsible for ensuring that social distancing is maintained, which we appreciate is challenging with young children.
To maintain social distancing in the play park, we ask that you;
- Do not share equipment between children of different households at one time
- Take turns on the equipment instead
- Limit the time for each child on the equipment, in order that everyone gets a turn
- Use hand sanitiser/ or wash your hands in the cafe before & after use
We feel that there is no need for scheduled access slots, but we will monitor this and put restrictions in place if it is necessary.
Shared contact on surfaces is perhaps lower risk in an outdoor setting, but frequently used play park equipment will still constitute a high-risk point for shared contact. So please be sensible and follow the above steps.
2) Cafe table service now open
The Par Track cafe is now open for table service.
Social distancing guidelines are relaxing somewhat, but we feel it is important to maintain the 2m spacing rules, so we have a limited number of tables in the cafe.
The one-way system is still in place, and distance markers will make it easy to keep apart from staff and fellow customers.
The summer menu offers hot and cold food including pasties, soup, jacket potatoes, wraps, sandwiches and nachos. Plus we have breakfast options and a selection of hot and cold drinks.
The toilets are now going to be open, with a one-way access system in place, and enhanced cleaning protocols.
While cleaning will be thorough and more frequent, disinfectant handwash will be available in the WC’s, and users will be able to wash their hands and any of the WC contact surfaces as they feel necessary.
4) Library – opening soon
Whilst libraries are now open we are working with Cornwall Libraries to make sure our unique micro library can be managed as safely as possible, we expect to open soon.
